I need some cool crafts for teens…?
Well I’m 15 and I like to do crafty but no so messy stuff. I like to do jewelery making and I’m pretty good at that and I can crochet all stitches and I can knit just the knit stitch, not the purl. Well I want to make cool simple crafts and things that I can put in my bedroom (brown, green, and blue theme) and that I can wear and show off and stuff. Any ideas? Thanks! And I have most any craft supply stuff… tons of glass beads and regular beads and clasps and all that plus like 1 million balls of yarn, paints, stuff like that. I will vote for best answer and websites and links and instructions are great.

My daughter is 14 and she makes her own jewelry out of buttons. For example she will make the following. Friendship Button Bracelet
Gold, silver or white elastic thread
Size 7 steel crochet hook
66 Buttons
Interesting and odd shaped buttons will make this bracelet a real
conversation piece.
Select 66 buttons, all in one color or in harmonizing colors and
shapes. Each button will tell a story in the finished piece and make
it truly an heirloom piece of jewelry.
The foundation for this bracelet is made of gold, silver or white
elastic thread. It has three rows of buttons, 22 in each, separated
by one row of single crochet. The buttons may be tied on, if desired,
with a short length of elastic thread and a sturdy square knot.
The beginning chain may need to be increased for a larger size, more
buttons will be needed too. Arrange the buttons in a pleasing manner
and in three rows. You may wish to string the buttons after arranging
to help keep them in the desired pattern or sequence.
To begin, ch 44, join with sl st in first ch made. Ch 1, sc in each
ch st around, join.
Ch 1, join a button by inserting hook through shank of button (or
hole), pull lp through and complete sc, continue around in this way
until you have joined 22 buttons, join with sl st in ch 1 first made.
Make three rows of buttons with a row of sc between two rows of
buttons. Finish off with a sc row to balance the first row made.

Chevron Beads are special glass beads, originally made for trade in the New World and the slave trade in Africa by glassmakers in Italy as far back as the early 15th century. They are composed of many consecutive layers of colored glass. The initial core is formed in a star-shaped mold, and can have anywhere between five and fifteen points. The next layer of glass conforms to that star shape. Several layers of glass can be applied (typically four to seven layers), either star-shaped or smooth. After all layers have been applied, the glass is drawn out to the desired thickness and when cooled, cut into short segments showing the resulting star pattern at their ends. The ends can be ground to display the chevron pattern. Chevron beads are traditionally composed of red, blue, and white layers, but modern chevrons can be found in any color combination. Original beads made for trade to the New World and Africa were typically composed of green, white, blue and red layers
Increasingly, dichroic glass is being used to produce high-end art beads. Dichroic glass has a thin film of metal fused to the surface of the glass, resulting in a surface that has a metallic sheen that changes between two colors when viewed at different angles. Beads can be pressed, or made with traditional lampworking techniques. The metal coating used was originally developed by NASA for the space program.
Other beads considered trade beads are those made in West Africa, by and for Africans, such as Mauritanian Kiffa beads, and Ghanaian and Nigerian powder glass beads . Other ethnic beads include Tibetan Dzi beads and African-made brass beads. Rudraksha beads are seeds that are customary in India for making Buddhist and Hindu rosaries (malas). Magatama are traditional Japanese beads, and cinnabar was often used for beads in China.
